After dipping out on seeing the Great Grey Shrike yesterday, I paid another visit around midday today and was very fortunate not only to see this splendid bird but with a careful approach was able to photograph it. I located it at least a mile up the reach from the bridge in a bush alongside the water. Two Buzzards also seen in the area.
