Thanks go to Steven Munday for the info. Two Drake Goosanders on Piddinghoe Pond late afternoon diving on the only unfrozen strip of water. They were seen a little later on the river near the incinerator. Pics not great looking almost straight at the sun.

Fine birds, five at Arlington Reservoir too today.
Yes very nice, I expect these two were those seen nearer Lewes around midday, probably more to come with this cold snap.

Saw male Goosander swimming and diving between the back of the fire station and Willey bridge today at about 11.30. A beautiful bird.
